1. Who We Are
Jebla HR is an internal workforce management application operated by Tech Growth Company for General Trading ("the Company", "we", "us") for the exclusive use of Jebla Coffee employees and management in Kuwait.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Jebla HR:

3. How We Use Your Information
- Attendance Management: Recording daily check-in/out times and calculating work hours
- Schedule Management: Assigning and displaying work shifts
- Leave Processing: Handling leave requests, tracking balances, and managing approvals
- Overtime Calculation: Computing overtime pay based on company policy and Kuwait labor law
- HR Administration: Employee onboarding, profile management, and organizational structure
- Notifications: Informing you about approvals, schedule changes, and HR updates
4. Location Data
We collect GPS coordinates only at the moment of check-in and check-out. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
- Location is used to verify attendance at your assigned branch
- You may deny location permission — check-in will still work but will be flagged as "GPS unavailable"
- Location data is stored on our servers and accessible only to HR and management
5. Camera and Photos
Camera access is requested only when uploading medical documents for sick leave requests. You may also choose photos from your gallery. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time.
6. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on secure servers hosted by DigitalOcean in their data center
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Authentication uses JWT tokens with bcrypt password hashing
- Access is controlled through role-based permissions — employees see only their own data; managers see only their team's data
- MongoDB database runs on an internal Docker network (not publicly accessible)
7. Data Sharing
Your data is accessible only to:
- You (your own data via the app)
- Your direct supervisor (attendance and schedule only)
- HR department staff (employment data for HR administration)
- Company management (aggregated reports)
8. Data Retention
- Active employees: Data retained for the duration of employment
- Former employees: Employment records retained as required by Kuwait Labor Law (minimum 5 years for payroll/financial records)
- Attendance records: Retained for the current fiscal year plus 2 previous years
- Audit logs: Retained for 3 years
9. Your Rights
As a Jebla HR user, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the app at any time
- Correct inaccurate personal information by contacting HR
- Request deletion of your account and data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Know how your data is being used (this policy)
- Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., GPS, camera) through your device settings
10. Children's Privacy
Jebla HR is an employment app for company staff. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
